Asics Onitsuka Tiger x Mastermind Japan

A unique 2016 collaboration between two Japanese powerhouses, Asics Onitsuka Tiger and Mastermind Japan! Asics Onitsuka Tiger’s Fabre Nippon basketball sneaker (first released in 1982) received a makeover by fellow Japanese imprint Mastermind Japan. Through a new stylized lookbook, mastermind JAPAN brings a streetwear edge to the classic 1982 basketball shoe by stamping its signature skull and bones logo on the heel and fastening side zippers on the medial panels for easy on-and-off. The Fabre Nippon’s upper is made of premium leather with a rather homogenous black color treatment throughout, with the only exception being the gold embroidery of the mastermind skull-and-bones logo above the gold heel pull. A simple, white rubber sole anchors the silhouette, and finished off with a red gum outsole.
